Once you have filled out an
inquiry form and have received the School Year Abroad catalog, we encourage you to
apply online.
Applicants may start their study abroad application process at any time during the fall or winter, although we request that teacher recommendations not be sent to us until midyear. The sooner part 1 of the application (online application form) and the fee are submitted, the earlier SYA will be able to assign each applicant an interviewer.
A complete application to School Year Abroad includes:
- Online application form and $50 application fee

- A recent photo of applicant - may be uploaded to your online application or sent to sya.admissions@sya.org
- Advisor / counselor recommendation

Interview with a School Year Abroad representative - you will be assigned an Interviewer when SYA has received your application and fee. You must submit your online application and $50 application fee in order to be assigned an interviewer.
